Yacov Gabay’s painting style is realistic in essence. He paints this way because he loves the world with its infinite shapes, colors and substance. Yacov works in a variety of techniques, but chiefly oil painting. He is a member of the Israel Association of Painters and Sculptors, and appears in issues of the highly acclaimed Israel Art Magazine, as well as appearing in art books published in Israel from time to time. 1937 - Yacov Gabay born on Kibbutz Yagur, Israel. 1964 - Received a scholarship from Helena Rubinstein Fund and travelled to Paris, France. Accepted by Academie des Beaux Arts, and joined Chapelain-Midy Roger Atelier. 1970 - Returned to Israel and has since given one-man exhibition shows in Tel-Aviv, Jerusalem, and Haifa. Also took part in group exhibitions in various subjects such as landscapes, nature, still life, portraiture and interior scenes.
